(he/him)
I'm a graduate of Smith School of Social Work, and a licensed psychotherapist. Over the past 15 years I've worked in clinical and educational settings. I am flexible in my approach. I trust clients’ innate capacity to heal and emphasize their ability to notice, regulate, and build on their own bodily wisdom. At the same time, I take an active, attuned role—offering moment-to-moment guidance to help organize experience and support nervous system regulation.
Therapy is a space where we listen and speak differently, and change can emerge not only through insight, but through new experiences of embodiment and connection. During our first session I will seek to understand your concerns and goals and answer any questions you have. I hope to begin developing a relationship of trust so that you feel comfortable.
I focus on present-moment awareness of thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations to support stabilization, resilience, and a renewed sense of agency. Clients often experience increased emotional regulation, reduced trauma symptoms, and a stronger capacity to stay connected to themselves and others.
I work best with people who are ready to look with compassion and honesty at the patterns that have kept them stuck — and curious about what it might feel like to try different approaches. Many of my clients are navigating early adulthood or major life transitions, carrying stress, anxiety, or trauma in their bodies and wondering why talking about it only goes so far. If you're open to slowing down and paying attention to what your nervous system is telling you, somatic therapy can be a powerful way to create change that sticks.

Psychodynamic
I was trained at Smith College, which has a psychodynamic framework.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
I believe IFS is one of the best ways to get started in understanding our internal conflicts. Though I don't typically use it for processing and I am not certified.
Somatic
I have certified training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, which is a great framework for understanding symptoms related to trauma and attachment. It is very helpful in challenging a top down approach to symptoms, and reintegrates the lived experience of the body.

I like Sean's authenticity. He's also open-minded, and brings a collaborative feel to each session. He's genuinely curious and practical. He's a good person to have in your corner if you're processing trauma or struggling with PTSD.
