About me

I'm a licensed clinical social worker who's been providing therapy for several years, and I'm a firm believer that therapy is most effective when someone has an authentic trusting relationship with their therapist. I am passionate about providing quality therapy via telehealth to adolescents and adults struggling with a variety of mental health concerns. The relationship we have with ourselves and others can hurt us but also heal us, and therapy is a great way to achieve that healing.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session will give us a chance to meet each other, get a clear understanding on what brought you to therapy and ensure that therapy with me feels like a good fit for you. This allows us to establish an idea of what's going on in the present and general goals related to therapy.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I feel that I excel at building a strong authentic relationship with clients that is warm and compassionate -- this serves as a solid foundation to build the trust necessary for successful therapy.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with clients struggling with depression, anxiety and/or trauma and I use a variety of evidence-based techniques while focusing on improving self esteem, relationships and overall mental health.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have experience providing CBT in individual and group therapy and use it to help alleviated depression and anxiety and change unhelpful/unrealistic thoughts that impact someone's mental health.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I have been trained to use dialectical therapy techniques with adults and adolescents, and find it is very helpful in building interpersonal skills, increasing distress tolerance and emotional regulation and lowering stress.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

I was trained to use Cognitive Processing Therapy and have implemented it successfully with several clients. I find that it is effective in alleviating symptoms of PTSD/trauma and am glad that I can provide evidence-based treatment for people suffering with trauma symptoms.

Motivational Interviewing

I have been trained in general and advanced motivational interviewing techniques and weave these into my practice often, especially when building a relationship with clients and establishing treatment plan goals.

Relational

I often focus on relationships, including the therapeutic relationship, in treatment and believe that improving and strengthening health relationships, as well as changing relational patterns that are no longer helping us, is an essential part of healing. I think the best therapy is built on a strong trusting relationship with your therapist.
