About me

I am a seasoned licensed clinical professional counselor with successful experience helping clients reach their goals and feel confident they have the tools to cope with the seas of life. I provide an integrated platform to approach issues combining the mind and the body together. A client will find his/her results are measurable. A person will not simply feel better, they will be better.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session will be mainly about gaining a solid biopsychosocial history to begin to know the client and his/her background. We will usually have time to touch on the six pillars of wellness which are the foundation for any change.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What makes the experience unique is the warm, unconditional acceptance wrapped in a integrative approach which provides measurable results. There is no substitute for years of experience with a vast array of populations.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who is interested in making a change and willing to invest in his/herself to make that change. This means doing assignments in-between sessions. My client will want to be an active participant in the treatment process and not expect some magical wand will make the difference. The client will be willing to make lifestyle changes to help facilitate the mental process.

My treatment methods

Neurofeedback

This is a very specialized brain training that has been especially helpful for ADHD, anxiety related disorders and specifically PTSD.

Biofeedback

Biofeedback uses any one or combination of body temperature, heart rate variance, respirations , galvanic skin response and muscle tension to measure and control symptoms related to pain, sleep and anxiety related disorders. I frequently use it as a precursor and or adjunct to neurofeedback.

Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy

This is the backbone of my general approach to treatment. For those situations which are not rational, I use the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT).

Mind-body approach

This means that each one, mind and body, influences the other. We can start at either end with exercise and diet to influence the mind to stress relief to influence the body. EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is frequently used for those issues that do not lend themselves to a rational cognitive approach.
