About me

I am a Brazilian-American psychotherapist with a strong foundation in psychoanalytic and trauma-informed treatment, offering a thoughtful and reflective space for individuals seeking deeper self-understanding and lasting change. My approach focuses on exploring unconscious patterns, emotional conflicts, and relational dynamics to support personal growth and healing. I work collaboratively with clients to uncover the roots of distress and foster meaningful transformation.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

n our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and begin exploring what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask about your current concerns, personal history, and what you’re hoping to gain from our work together — all at a pace that feels comfortable for you. This initial conversation is also a chance for you to get a feel for how I work and ask any questions you might have. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and supported as we begin this process.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out about my approach is the depth and care I bring to understanding each client’s inner world. Grounded in psychoanalytic and trauma-informed methods, I help clients explore the unconscious roots of emotional pain and long-standing patterns that may no longer serve them. Rather than focusing solely on quick fixes, I support lasting change by helping clients develop greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and a stronger sense of self. My work is attentive, collaborative, and paced to meet each person where they are, creating a process that is both challenging and deeply reparative.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am especially well-positioned to support individuals who have experienced trauma and crisis and are seeking a deeper understanding of how it continues to affect their lives. Many of my clients struggle with PTSD, anxiety, emotional numbness, relationship difficulties, or a persistent sense of disconnection from themselves or others. They are often looking not just to cope, but to heal at the root — to make sense of their experiences, regain a sense of agency, and build a more grounded, authentic connection to themselves. I offer a steady, reflective space where this complex work can unfold safely and thoughtfully.

My treatment methods

Psychoanalytic

With extensive experience in psychoanalytic treatment, I have developed a deep understanding of unconscious processes and their impact on behavior, relationships, and emotional life. My approach is rooted in creating a safe, reflective space where clients can explore the underlying meanings of their thoughts and feelings. In my practice, I use psychoanalytic techniques such as free association, dream analysis, and transference work to help individuals gain insight into recurring patterns, resolve internal conflicts, and foster lasting personal growth.
