I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Indiana providing Telehealth therapy services. I specialize in trauma recovery and a modern understanding of grief, one that recognizes that loss isn’t just about death, but about any life-altering change that leaves a void. Trauma doesn’t just live in the past, it lives in our dreams, our bodies, and the gaps in our memories. If you are experiencing ‘forgotten’ memories, bad dreams, or the aftermath of sexual abuse, you don’t have to carry that weight alone. I specialize in trauma recovery and a modern understanding of grief, one that recognizes that loss isn’t just about death, but about any life-altering change that leaves a void. I advocate for a modern understanding of grief: loss is about much more than death. We can grieve a lost childhood, a sense of safety, a relationship, or a version of ourselves we didn’t get to become. Whether your pain feels loud or like a quiet, persistent void, I provide a compassionate space to process these "invisible" wounds.
I always like to let clients know that the first session can be a bit uncomfortable and isn't at all what following sessions will look like. To understand the client and why they are coming to therapy I have to complete an intake, which is a summary of the client's life and experiences. While it can feel like an interrogation with some providers, I like to let the client have a more conversational intake process so the questions can be answered with less pressure. Following sessions will depend on the client's needs that we establish in the intake session, but I also like my client's to remember that it is their treatment and if something isn't working that we can always change things up.
I have worked in a variety of different environments that have given me unique perspectives into the lives of others, such as working with families impacted by DCS as well as in the prison system for the state of Indiana. I have also participated in additional trainings to develop my skills in working with trauma and difficult pasts. By integrating tools like EMDR, CBT, and Mindfulness, we work together to bridge the gaps in your story and move you from a state of survival into a life of genuine fulfillment.
My ideal client would be anyone above the age of 13 dealing with the impacts of trauma, depression, or anxiety who is willing to work through their struggles to build a better and more effective lifestyle. I would like the client to be interested in seeking therapy and focused on making lasting change. Client concerns can be anything they are willing to work on but particularly dysfunctional relationships, family concerns, family trauma, anxiety symptoms, depression symptoms, abuse survivors, etc. A limitation for me would be eating disorders due to the advanced care that this population needs.

EMDR
EMDR can be helpful in processing distressing memories, experiences, or beliefs that may still be affecting them today. We utilize guided bilateral stimulation, such as eye movement or tapping, to help reduce the emotional intensity of the memories.
Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy
REBT helps the client uncover beliefs and thought patterns that influence their emotional responses. Once we identify the irrational beliefs and how they are impacting the client we can work to replace them with more realistic and balanced perspectives.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT can be used to identify unhelpful thought patterns that may be contributing to anxiety, depression, or other daily challenges in life. We can reframe these and develop healthier ways of coping to create change that lasts.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
DBT combines acceptance and change to help the client develop practical skills for life to manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and cope with stress.
