Hey! I am Dr. Martecia "Tecii" Oates and I am a licensed professional counselor servicing clients in CO, FL and OK. I work primarily with athletes, college students, young professionals, and teenagers. I work with ages (14-40). I aim to be a helping hand to clients who are navigating life transitions, experiencing symptoms related to anxiety and depression, as well as clients who are struggling with self-esteem and low confidence.
In our first session, we will begin with brief introductions and then discuss what brings you to therapy today. I do not want our sessions to feel as if I am interrogating you, so we will only discuss as much as you are open to discussing.
I create a nonjudgmental, safe place for all my clients. It takes a lot of strength to come to therapy. So I believe that it is essential for me to make clients feel welcome from the start of the therapeutic relationship.
I enjoy working with individuals who are open to becoming the best version of themselves. I believe that I am simply a helping hand in your growth, the real work is completed outside of the session.
