About me

Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. i have 6 and a half years experience. I graduated with my Master's Degree in Social at at the University of Kansas in 2017. Since graduation I have worked in corrections with incarcerated youth and have worked inpatient acute care with at risk youth. I also have experience working with juveniles diagnosed with autism. Throughout my practice my primary focus has been on trauma, depression/anxiety, and anger.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

First sessions with me are about a prospective client and I deciding if we are a good fit. I am a firm believer in the importance of the therapeutic relationship. Often times getting to know one another begins with you the client identifying or exploring your need for therapy followed by my determining if your need is within my scope of practice. Afterward, I typically discuss my background and give you opportunity to ask about my experiences and decide if you would like to work with me.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I feel my greatest strength as a therapist is my ability to ensure a client feels heard and my outside the box thinking which allows for clients to be full participants in their therapy.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds. I consider myself a generalist practitioner and I am open to working with anyone age 14 and up. My ideal client is someone who is unsure or nervous about therapy due to prior experience. Past clients have informed me I do very well in helping clients identify strengths and regain a sense of self empowerment over past negative experiences, anxiety, and depression. I believe all my clients are the expert in their own lives and my place is to guide them to positive outcomes they define.
