New to Grow
As a compassionate therapist, I specialize in supporting individuals through life's many complex challenges. My approach is rooted in understanding the unique experiences of each person, with a particular focus on addressing stress, anxiety, family dynamics, trauma recovery, and navigating significant life transitions. I offer a supportive and empathetic environment for clients dealing with a wide range of concerns, including communication difficulties, feelings of isolation, personal growth, and emotional healing. My expertise spans working with diverse populations, including, children and young adults, individuals experiencing midlife challenges, and those navigating complex family relationships. My therapeutic approach is holistic and person-centered, drawing from evidence-based practices to help clients develop effective coping strategies, work through difficult emotions, and rediscover their own personal strength. I'm committed to creating a safe and understanding space where individuals can explore their challenges; heal, learn, and grow from their experiences, and move towards meaningful personal growth and live a full life. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, relationship issues, grief, or seeking guidance through life's many transitions, I'm dedicated to walking alongside you with compassion and professional support.
In our first session we will first have the "rules of the road" and explain informed consent and some other logistics. Second we will low pressure "story telling space" where you will share what brought to you to our therapy session today. Next we will have a "where are we going session" where we look at what some of your goals might be and where you feel you might want to see things going and assessment of needs. Next we might have a "vibe check" to see how you are feelings about everything so far, and take inventory of the session. Finally, we will have "clear next step" which will involve some clinical perspective and more than likely some follow-up light homework for you to do which would entail a simple observation task or a reflection to keep the momentum going until the next meeting.
My greatest strengths are empowering you to realize your greatest strengths and that you had the answers all along!
Everyone struggles- so everyone is an ideal client. My ideal client however, is the broken and down trodden longing for peace. My ideal client is willing to work as hard as the therapist to find their resilience and build their strength. My ideal client is willing work to toward building skills to find that anchor that grounds them to what brings them joy.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I love using Solution Focused Modalities! That way we can shift your focus from problem-solving to solution-building. This involves emphasizing your desired future and focusing on your existing strengths that you already possess. You are the expert on you! Small, manageable steps lead to significant long-term transformation.
Narrative
The problem is the problem! This externalization separates a person's identity from their struggles. The way we describe ourselves and our problems actually shapes our experiences and future possibilities. A person's identity is not a fixed internal trait but a collection of stories that can be re-authored. We have the ability to rewrite our own stories!
Christian Counseling
We can shift from a purely clinical focus to a spiritually integrated approach that treats your faith as a significant internal resource for healing and resilience. This process is collaborative and client-led, ensuring your faith and worldview is supported.
