Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Client initial session is based on gathering information and rapport building. The two of these processes are crucial to understanding factors that contributed to where we are at this time. It is extremely important to build a rapport in order to determine if we are compatible to work together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Engaging in a judgement-free environment allows my client the opportunity to express their emotions and feelings freely . Active listening gives me the opportunity to comprehend what my clients are conveying without misunderstanding.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My clients are usually open and honest about their history and current circumstances. They are aware that looking introspectively with honest lenses will help them work through their concerns/issues.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I believe reframing negative thoughts into positive thoughts will help improve your way of thinking and responding. Negative thoughts can hinder change and keep us stuck in negativity.

Psychodynamic

I am strong believer in what we experience during childhood will influence us throughout our lifespan. I believe that exploring the past will provide important insight into our behaviors and beliefs.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

There are times when a brief solution will suffice. Brainstorming quick solutions are essential to counseling and oftentimes crucial.

Supportive

There are times when someone will need your support as opposed to trying to explore and solve situations. I have found that some of my clients need an extra support system and active listener to assist them.
