About me

Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counsellor (LPC) based in Alabama I received my Masters from Troy University and have been practicing for 14 years. I help adults struggling with career stress and burnout become the best versions of themselves. I also focus on trauma, ADHD, grief and other issues that can cause roadblocks to clients success . Let’s run on tuisjourney together

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

From day one I express to you that this is your therapy session. I give you a brief history of who I am, at the same time I ask you to give a brief autobiographical summary about you. My job is to make you feel comfortable so expressing yourself comes naturally. If you believe you can achieve, I believe in you, just believe yourself

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Having worked with adults for the past 14 years, I've developed a tried-and-true playbook for helping you (a) identify the root cause of your challenges and (b) create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress. I am empathetic, easy going, non judgmental and I am no nonsense and I stress accountability. I am flexible with my availability especially for those who work odd hours. I’m not just your therapist, I am your friend.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am the Voice of the Voiceless. I want those clients who feel invisible. Those who want to give up in life. I want those with no hope. I know you feel that there is no hope however we can both walk you down the path towards hope . If you put the work in and attack your demons head on, you can overcome everything.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I help clients identify the specific problems they are experiencing and how these problems affect their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. This includes exploring the client's history, symptoms, and concerns to understand the root of the issue. A key part of this is setting clear and achievable goals for the therapy process

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) focuses on building solutions rather than fixing problems. It involves several key steps: setting clear goals, using the "miracle question" to envision a desired future, seeking exceptions to the problem, using scaling questions to track progress, and encouraging clients to focus on their strengths and resources.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Person-centered therapy is used to facilitate self-discovery and growth by creating a supportive, non-judgmental environment where the client takes the lead in exploring their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. The therapist's role is to be empathetic, genuine, and non-directive, allowing the client to develop a deeper understanding of themselves and their issues.
