About me

Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have my Masters in Social Work from University of Texas at Arlington. I have worked in the field of mental health and as a therapist for 30 years. I am licensed in Arkansas and Tennessee. I work with adults of all ages and backgrounds who are experiencing difficulties such as difficulty coping, low self esteem, anxiety, grief and loss, and stress due to life transitions. I believe that reaching out to a therapist is a big step. I am here to help you feel comfortable and connected in your therapy journey and to provide an environment where you can work on your goals without feeling judged.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together we will talk about what has caused you to decide to seek therapy. I will explore the problems you are experiencing in order to get an understanding of how you are feeling and functioning. Then we will talk about what you are wanting to get from therapy - what are your expectations and your goals for your therapy.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I can help you identify the root causes of your problems in order for you to gain a better understanding of yourself. I can then supply you with skills and techniques that will help you to find solutions that work best for you and that lead to measurable progress.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with adults of all ages who are experiencing distress in their lives and are motivated to begin to make changes in order to reduce this distress and feel better about themselves. I especially enjoy working with clients who tend to experience low self esteem and are harsh with themselves. I can work with you to help you identify how you are affected by this self negativity, and help you develop self compassion and self validation.
