About me

Hi! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Sacramento, California. I am passionate about meeting clients where they are at, and using their unique strengths to help accomplish one's goals. It is important to me to provide a non judgmental and supportive atmosphere to help clients explore inner thoughts, dreams, pain, and desires. Through my experience as a therapist, I have worked with groups, couples, individuals, and families of diverse backgrounds.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session we will begin by building the therapeutic relationship, and discussing what brings you to therapy. We can discuss your concerns, struggles, or symptoms and begin to formulate some goals for therapy. We can move as slow or as fast as you prefer. I am a firm believer in diving in if you are comfortable, or taking as much time as necessary. I understand therapy can feel weird sometimes, and that it can be important to trust someone before sharing details about your life. Additionally, in our first session I like to hear your previous experiences with therapy and your likes/dislikes with the process.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths as a therapist are the therapeutic relationship and meeting the client where they are at. I strive to provide a warm and trusting environment to help minimize any fears. I move at whatever pace the client is comfortable with, and with time either slow it down or gently encourage the client to open up. I use techniques from varying modalities to best match the approach to the client's unique background. I also am open to whatever the client wants to explore or implement, as I believe the client is the expert on their life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am passionate about working with the neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ communities through a collaborative strengths based approach. I also enjoy working with individuals navigating relationship difficulties, life transitions, self esteem and more. Additionally, I have experience working with couples exploring relationship dynamics and polyamory/ENM. I believe it is important to find what works for you on an individual level and break away from what life “should” look like. Through therapy we can discuss and work through your unique struggles and find solutions that work for you and your lifestyle.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Person-centered therapy is a non directive form of therapy where the client is the expert on their own life, and where the client is met with warmth and understanding. This approach creates a supportive and safe environment for the client to explore their inner feelings, thoughts and experiences. Person-centered therapy values authenticity, allowing the client to check in with how their value systems aligns with their thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Additionally, through this modality I also incorporate experiential techniques to act as an outlet for intense emotions or self expression.

Psychodynamic

I use elements of psychodynamic theory to help clients explore unconscious patterns, influences from childhood and past relationships, and traumatic/negative experiences. This exploration allows client to make connections from the past and its impact on the here and now.
