About me

"Hello, I'm Rebecca, and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor. I believe that therapy should be a place where you can truly be yourself—a space where you can come as you are with no fear of judgment. My practice is built on the philosophy that genuine connection and compassionate support are the cornerstones of lasting change. Together, we'll explore your unique challenges to help you build insight, skills, and lasting resilience.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

"Our first session will be about getting to know one another and establishing rapport. I want you to feel comfortable talking with me, and we'll take this session at your pace. We will determine your goals for therapy and learn how to meet those goals best, ensuring you leave with a clear sense of what the therapeutic journey will look like."

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach is collaborative and uses proven, evidence-based methods like Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness to build resilience for everyone. • For the Child/Teen: We teach tangible tools (like the Emotion Thermometer and grounding techniques) to help them recognize their feelings, manage frustration, and navigate social challenges successfully. • For the Parent: We provide concrete guidance, from setting effective boundaries to learning skills that shift your own stress and reactivity, ensuring you are equipped to lead your family with calm and confidence. You are the expert on your life and your child, and my role is to provide the guidance and tools you need to achieve your goals and foster lasting calm. My work focuses on restoring balance by addressing both needs simultaneously. I can't wait to work with you

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

You might be here because you, the parent, are dealing with burnout and persistent anxiety. You feel constantly drained by the challenges of family life, whether it’s setting boundaries or navigating daily conflicts. You know things need to change, but you’re exhausted and unsure how to break the cycle. This parental stress often aligns with a child or teen who is also struggling: If your child's feelings seem too intense, too frequent, or too fast—leading to meltdowns, outbursts, or total withdrawal—they aren't being "dramatic." They are struggling with emotional regulation, and it’s exhausting for the whole family.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I believe that the client is at the heart of therapy, and because of this, I meet the client where they are and not where I expect them to be. My approach is to offer a welcoming environment where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts and emotions without fear of judgment. I strive to understand my client's experiences and hope to foster a trustful therapuetic experience for them.

Child Parent Psychotherapy

CPP is a dyad treatment with the parent/caregiver and the child. It is evidence-based therapy designed for young children (0-5 years old) and their caregivers who have experienced traumatic events or are struggling with mental health issues. This is a play-based therapy that uses play to help children express their feelings and process their experiences. You, the caregiver, and I will work closely together, where you will receive support and guidance.

Christian Counseling

Integrating faith-based methods as well as evidence-based methods such as CBT, EFT, and other counseling methods along side of each other

Gottman method

helps partners improve their relationship by enhancing friendship, managing conflict, and creating shared meaning

Eclectic

No two people are alike, and neither are their challenges or goals. Eclectic therapy recognizes this diversity by avoiding a "one-size-fits-all" model. Instead, it offers a compassionate and customized path, empowering clients to benefit from the insights and tools of multiple therapeutic traditions.
