Dana Timothy Peterson
Hi. I am a life-long learner and clinical psychologist who loves to help people understand more about themselves than they ever knew was possible. I’m a strong believer in that the more we understand how our past relationships and experiences shape who we are, the more we will learn how to deepen and strengthen existing and new relationships. Across my more than 25 years of practice, I have served clients on the battlefield in Iraq as a Navy Clinical Psychologist in a Marine Unit, treated individuals and families in a private practice setting and spent the majority of my treatment years serving federal government employees and their spouses.
Strengths
Present and engaged listener who draws from client’s personal wisdom and experience.
Ideal clients
The ideal client is one who is willing to humbling look within and be willing to invest in themselves towards a more healthy version of who they currently are. The willingness to take a risk will pay dividends toward enjoyment of healthy, successful and meaningful relationships and employment experiences. One willing to do the work necessary to be healthier in body, soul and spirit.
Treatment methods
Attachment-based
Using a collaborative process, we will work together to explore how past relationships shape how you currently interact with those around you. The more you learn about your general style, the more you will successfully engage in existing and new rewarding relationships.
