Welcome to P.A.M. Counseling, LLC! P.A.M. stands for peace and mindfulness, in honor of my late mother who struggled silently with mental illness her entire life. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with over 10 years of experience working in the mental health field.

P.A.M. stands for peace and mindfulness, in honor of my late mother who struggled silently with mental illness her entire life.

I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Bowie State University. Immediately after, I obtained my Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I am an Approved Clinical Supervisor. I have obtained multiple certificates, which include but are not limited to: Trauma-Focused CBT, Clinical Supervision, Telemental Health, and Child-Parent Psychotherapy. When I am not working, I am spending time with my daughters, traveling, and enjoying new experiences with my family. I am willing to drive long distances to try new restaurants because I am a firm believer that food is good for the soul.

First session

In our first session we will start by introductions, exploring the reasons why you are seeking therapy, and establishing positive rapport.

Strengths

The capacity to listen intentionally, be nonjudgmental, empathize, and provide support.

Ideal clients

I work with clients who feel defeated, lonely, overwhelmed and exhausted all while trying to maintain their mental health. The treatment plan focuses on the goals that you want to achieve. I provide guidance and support to create a space that promotes growth by retraining your brain and mind. Most of my clients leave session feeling heard and empowered.

Treatment methods

Integrative

I use an integrated approach that focuses specifically on your needs. I use techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness, and strength- based strategies to initiate healing and wellness. I understand that you are unique, and it is very important to incorporate the approach that best works for you.

Jasmine made my reintroduction to therapy a wonderful experience. She is very warm, personable, and authentic. I’ve already scheduled my next session, I can’t wait :).

I had my very first session with Jasmine, so this review isn’t based on much experience but she was very interactive with me in terms of questions and trying to grasp a proper understanding of my mental state. I feel fairly positive about the trajectory of our client-professional relationship and I hope that I can learn how to not let my past traumas dictate my future possibilities with her help. I know therapists are not meant to tell you what to do, but guide you. I’m hopeful Jasmine can help.

This was my first session with Jasmine and she honestly seems so nice. She quickly made me feel comfortable and before, I knew it my nerves associated with going to therapy slowly diminished. I’m excited to see her for my next session and to see my growth through this process.
