LCSW, 6 years of experience
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with 5 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, depression, abuse, anger management, motivation, self esteem, and confidence. I specialize in women’s issues and adolescent self-harm and suicidal ideations. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started!
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, valued, and supported. By deeply understanding each client’s unique experiences, I build trust and foster a collaborative relationship focused on their growth. I strive to build meaningful connections with my clients and support them in creating lasting, positive change in their lives.
I am passionate about working with individuals who are ready to embark on a journey of self-discovery, emotional growth, and behavioral change. My training and expertise allow me to effectively support clients facing a range of challenges. I am a safe space for adolescents and adults to talk and explore ways to challenge you and help you focus on growth.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I specialize in using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients navigate and overcome a range of challenges. My approach focuses on empowering individuals to identify and change unhelpful thought patterns, fostering emotional growth, and promoting healthier behaviors. I work collaboratively with clients to assess their unique needs and set specific, measurable, and realistic goals, such as reducing anxiety and/or depression, managing anger, or improving relationships.
My practice focuses on empowering individuals to navigate life’s challenges while fostering mindfulness, acceptance, and meaningful change. I guide clients in developing mindfulness techniques to increase self-awareness and focus on the present moment. Together, we work on emotional regulation strategies to help clients understand and manage intense emotions effectively.
In my practice, I often incorporate Motivational Interviewing (MI) to support clients in exploring their ambivalence and increasing their motivation for change. MI is particularly effective when working with individuals who may feel stuck or uncertain about making changes in their lives. I use MI by creating a collaborative, non-judgmental space where clients feel empowered to share their thoughts and feelings. Through open-ended questions, reflective listening, and affirmations, I help clients explore their values, goals, and the discrepancies between where they are and where they want to be.

Based on the success of our first session, I was eager to continue and this second session really built on what we established last time. I feel comfortable sharing information and really appreciate the insights and feedback as well as objective solutions and suggestions on how to work through situations as well as feel prepared for future obstacles.
