About me

You are seeking, that is what brought you here. Sometimes that may be a single event, a crisis, a trauma, or a series of events that have you weary. Life can bring us to a place where we need to do things differently and can't quite sort out what that looks like. My experiences working with community mental health, private practice, trauma, crisis, and critical incidents have equipped me understand how difficult challenges can be for individuals and families. My experience as a Social Worker provides the educational platform to help you explore all of the systems that influence your life. I believe my kind yet practical approach to counseling offers an opportunity for hope and change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is a meet and greet. While we discuss your goals and develop an action plan. The more I know about you, what brought you to therapy and the folks around you, the more strategic we can be.

The treatment methods and tools I utilize

I am intentional with planning strategies. I use multiple therapy techniques that are based on evidence. Once I learn your strengths and learning styles. We can discuss which methods work best for which goals. Part of the array of therapies I am trained in, includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused-CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) and Solution Focused Therapy.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Listening is one of my greatest strengths. I am skilled at assisting patients to build resilience, resistance, and endurance to stress. I have had success assisting patients to resolve trauma(s) and navigate critical incidents. I understand the values and language of emergency service workers and military personnel.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Helping professionals; schoolteachers, mental health providers, fire, police, EMS. Clients experiencing grief, loss, anxiety, and the ill effects of trauma or adverse events.
