About me

I have worked in social services ranging in a breadth of fields, including addictions, education, family dynamics, and trauma as well as community engagement and grant work. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) I adhere to the NASW Code of Ethics and am a proud member of the Indiana NASW Chapter. I want to know your story and help you pursue your goals.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

At our first session, it will probably be the most you hear me talk. The best way for me to learn about you and develop your treatment plan is to ask questions...a LOT of questions. Because I don't like to make assumptions and again, you know yourself the best.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I hold myself accountable to the NASW Code of Ethics and practice from a person-centered lens. You know yourself the best, and I see myself as a guide to help you achieve your goals by learning more about you. As a Social Worker, I also know systems can create barriers we don't always see or recognize

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I know we can accomplish your goals, together. Being willing to open up to the possibility of change while knowing it can be hard and uncomfortable to do so. Know that I'm here to support you and cheer you on while you learn and practice new skills!

My treatment methods

Trauma Informed Care

Trauma Informed Care means that I understand you may have things that have happened to you or a loved one that impacts your daily living. It means I understand that it may or may not be the focus of your therapy journey, but that I will treat you in a way that minimizes common triggers as well as provide psychoeducation around how trauma impacts you. You can know you'll be safe with me.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT builds upon the foundation of CBT by acknowledging not all thoughts can easily be controlled. Sometimes, we have to learn how to cope with hard thoughts/feelings/behaviors rather than change them for good. By incorporating Radical Acceptance and Mindfulness practices, you can better ride the waves of strong feelings and build better relationships with yourself and others.
