About me

My path to becoming a psychotherapist grew out of personal experiences and a deep awareness of how mental health is often stigmatized in the communities and culture I grew up in. These experiences shaped my commitment to creating a safe, affirming space for healing. I value and honor the uniqueness that makes you who you are, and I strive to walk alongside you as you discover strength, clarity, and growth

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can feel both hopeful and a little daunting, and that’s completely normal. My goal in our first session is to create a calm, supportive space where you feel safe to be yourself. There’s no pressure to have it all figured out or to share everything at once you set the pace. During our time together, we’ll begin by talking about what brought you here and what you’d like to focus on. I’ll also ask a few gentle questions to better understand your story, your strengths, and the challenges you’re facing. From there, we’ll start shaping a plan together, tailored to your needs and goals. Most importantly, the first session is about connection. It’s an opportunity for you to get a sense of how I work and whether this feels like the right fit for you. My role is to listen, support, and walk alongside you as you begin this process of growth and healing

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My ability to blend professional expertise with genuine empathy and understanding. I draw from multiple evidence-based approaches including CBT, ACT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing to tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs. I bring humor, compassion, and a nonjudgmental presence to sessions, helping clients feel safe while exploring challenging topics. I excel at identifying strengths, supporting you in building practical coping skills, and guiding you toward greater self-awareness and resilience. I celebrate every step of progress, big or small, and focus on empowering you to create meaningful, lasting change in your life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

If you’ve been carrying the weight of trauma, anxiety, depression, stress or feeling like you’re never enough, you don’t have to go through it alone. I provide a safe, supportive space where we can work through the challenges that come with family dynamics, communication struggles, and relationship stress. Whether it’s learning to set healthy boundaries, healing from infidelity, or finding your voice in important relationships, I’ll walk alongside you as you build confidence, clarity, and a stronger connection to yourself.
