LCSW, 13 years of experience
Hi, I’m Lynde Revert, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience walking alongside people as they heal, grow, and reconnect with themselves. I specialize in supporting individuals navigating anxiety, substance use, trauma, and major life transitions. With 13 years in the addiction field and personal experience with bariatric surgery, I bring both professional expertise and genuine understanding to my work. I help clients explore the emotional side of recovery and change—whether that’s from substance use, eating addiction, body image concerns, or the lifestyle shifts that come with surgical and non-surgical weight loss journeys. I’ve also worked in a Level I trauma center, which has given me deep insight into how high-stress environments and secondary trauma affect first responders, healthcare workers, and caregivers. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or ready to make meaningful changes, you don’t have to go through it alone. I offer a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where we can work together to help you move forward with strength and confidence.
In our first session, you can expect a warm and respectful environment. We'll start by talking about what brought you here, what has worked for you in the past, and what hasn’t. We'll also go over your expectations. This first meeting is all about getting to know each other and starting to build a safe, supportive space where you feel comfortable.
My greatest strengths lie in creating a safe, grounded space where clients feel seen, heard, and genuinely supported. I take a trauma-informed, collaborative approach—meeting you where you are while gently challenging unhelpful patterns that keep you stuck. Drawing from evidence-based practices like CBT, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness, I tailor each session to your unique needs and goals. Clients often share that they appreciate my ability to hold space for tough emotions while also offering practical tools they can use in everyday life. I’m not here to “fix” you—I’m here to walk alongside you as you reclaim your strength, clarity, and sense of self.
My ideal clients are individuals who are ready to explore the deeper layers of their experiences, even if they’re feeling uncertain or overwhelmed. I work best with people navigating trauma, anxiety, substance use, burnout, or life transitions—including those preparing for or recovering from bariatric surgery. I’m especially passionate about supporting first responders and healthcare professionals who often carry the invisible weight of others’ crises. Whether you’re seeking to break patterns, set boundaries, build resilience, or simply feel more like yourself again, I’m here to help you move forward with compassion and clarity.
DBT is all about giving you practical tools to feel more in control of your emotions and behaviors. It’s a collaborative process where we work together to help you thrive. This is done by exploring the main focuses of DBT (Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Distress Tolerance and interpersonal effectiveness).
I use trauma-informed care in my therapy practice by recognizing and responding to the effects of trauma on your life. Here’s how I incorporate it into our sessions by Creating a safe space, building trust, and empowerment.
I regularly use Motivational Interviewing (MI) in my therapy practice to support clients in exploring ambivalence and building motivation for change. MI allows me to meet clients where they are, honor their autonomy, and help them identify their own reasons for making meaningful changes. This approach has been especially effective in my work with individuals navigating addiction, behavioral challenges, and life transitions.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and build skills to manage anxiety, depression, and other life stressors. CBT has been a valuable tool in my work, allowing clients to better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and to make meaningful, lasting changes.
