I am an LMHC-D and a Master CASAC (credentialed alcoholism and substance abuse counselor) in New York State. I have over 20 years of experience working in education, social services, government, and nonprofit management. I have practiced in schools, chemical dependency programs, and outpatient mental health clinics, providing services to people from all walks of life. My experience across disciplines in the realm of human services has left me well-versed in my ability to tackle many of the challenges facing my clients.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we will have a conversation that will enable me to get to know you better. I will gather information about your history and current concerns so that we can move forward with a plan to address your goals and needs together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I utilize an eclectic approach to therapy, implementing a variety of methods and modalities according to the needs of each individual I work with. My practice is person-centered and strengths-based. I am trained in cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy as well as mindfulness practices and the components of positive psychology. I believe that every person has the ability to heal; it is my job to listen, understand, and help guide my clients toward achieving their goals. I believe that laughter can mend the deepest wounds and I bring a natural levity to even the direst of situations and circumstances. My ultimate purpose is to leave the people I work with feeling better.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with clients who are committed to self-discovery and overcoming obstacles.
