LCPC, 20 years of experience
In a world that too often feels overwhelming and disconnected creativity and nature are a source of consistency and reassurance. I help clients discover and develop the healthy, hopeful and resilient parts of themselves that are often the answer to “how do I deal with my anxiety, my depression, a significant loss, an important life transition, or a past trauma?"
Our first 1-3 sessions will be an exploration of therapy goals and the biological, psychological, and social factors that have contributed to the unique person you are today. We will also explore your interest in the use of creative arts and ecotherapy in sessions.
I have many years of life experience, professional experience and education. This allows me to have an extensive range of tools at my disposal to assist you in your journey through therapy. If one thing doesn't work, something else might. I want to meet you at the place where you feel most comfortable and help you to grow from there.

I offer virtual sessions and in-person sessions in Ottawa, IL. Together we build a treatment plan that incorporates your preferences regarding what modalities you would like to explore. Writing poetry, walking by the river or in the woods, exploring life themes through photography, grounding with river rocks, connecting to the healing power of plants, and talking about successes and strengths are some of the many interventions we may try.
