As a therapist, I am passionate about supporting people to create the life they want. Through my years of experience, I have developed a collaborative, warm, creative and down-to-earth approach. I believe you bring a unique set of strengths and personal successes that we will use in our work together as we approach new obstacles standing in the way of your growth. My work is rooted in mindfulness and the understanding that "we do not harvest our inner crop on the same day we plant the seed" and I look forward to partnering with you in your growth and healing. When I am not working, I enjoy knitting. Knitting, much like therapy, is a process of creating something meaningful stitch by stitch.

I am a female therapist with over ten years of experience. I became a therapist as I have always been drawn to helping professions. I went to Manhattanville College for two years, and then transferred to the CUNY BA Program for Unique and Interdisciplinary Studies. I graduate with a degree in Social Work with Vulnerable Populations and Contemporary Global Issues. I then went to the NYU Silver School of Social Work and received a Masters in Social Work, and did the Zelda Fellowship in Palliative and End-of-life Care. For more context, my first year internship, I spent interning at Talbot Hall, a (now closed) correctional facility in NJ. In my second year, under the Fellowship, I interned at the NY and Brooklyn Veterans Hospital. I worked with Brightpoint (now Sunriver Health), then at NY Presbyterian Hospital (doing inpatient, then outpatient care), and now am in private practice. I believe it's an honor to hear about the lives of others. I am also married, and have young children. I grew up in a large family. I have grown and lived in the NY/NJ area. Some personal background: I love to write, cook, bike, swim and am a vegetarian.

Frequently asked questions

Why filter by New Jersey rather than a city like Newark?

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in the state. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across New Jersey from Jersey City to Paterson! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in New Jersey.

Will my therapist take insurance?

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

How does the Specialty Filter work? Can I find a therapist that focuses on Post Partum?

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need. For example, your selected specialty, Post Partum, is filtering therapists in New Jersey that work with patients with similar concerns.

Why use Gender, Age, and Identities filters?

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

What to expect during your first session?

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs.

Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
