I'm a licensed clinical social worker based in Georgia who has been working for over 20 years. I received a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education and a Masters in Social Work both from the University of Georgia. I help individuals uncover and release what is keeping them stuck in various areas of their lives so they can live a life full of joy.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we'll get to know each other, discuss what is bringing you to therapy and then, together, create a plan to help you overcome what you are struggling with.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My strengths in working with my clients is my compassion and being non-judgmental. I help clients go from where they are to where they want to go.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I help clients identify what is keeping them stuck in their life and then use CBT to work on the negative self-talk that keeps going on repeat in their heads. CBT is all about changing the thoughts that tend to ruminate in your head - and I have found that it is more than just saying positive affirmations (which aren't bad, but I add other steps too).

Mind-body approach

I believe there is a strong connection between the mind and body, thus, I look at physcial issues to help in discovering the emtional issues that need to be addressed. When not feeling well, doctors often ask us about the stress we are under, so we can use that to our advantage to identify stress that we might not even recognize.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I help guide my clients to identify and achieve individualized goals that will help them in moving forward in the areas of their life that aren't working.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I help my clients heal from trauma so that it no longer keeps them stuck in their lives.
