About me

After decades of working with children and families as an educator, camp director, and well, wife and mother, I decided to return to school to become a Professional Counselor and Art Therapist. Now, after years of training and experience, I can say that I have developed a unique way of working with clients that has proven very helpful for many of them. I focus on giving people the platform and gentle guidance they need to feel confident and secure in who they are and what they are doing to become the best version of themselves. I am also very focused on relationship building whether that is parenting, working with couples or helping people build social skills and a support system that works for them.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Sometimes, my clients know exactly what they need and come in fully prepared. You may know what has or has not worked for you in the past. If this is the case, I will sit back and listen before asking questions that will help us determine the best step forward. If you are coming in with a less clear picture of what needs to happen, I will take the lead and give you options. We can begin by getting to know each other through a game, a casual conversation, or by doing an art activity together. We are all different and have different ways of connecting. My job is to make sure that you feel comfortable and ready to move forward.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I believe my greatest strength as a therapist is being a natural listener who can be analytical without being judgmental. My clients come to therapy so they can speak to themselves out loud and get answers that they know are run by an objective ear while expecting complete confidentiality. I will help you find strength you didn't know you had through creative forms of self expression and a kinder, more confident form of self awareness that allows you to look forward while fully absorbing and acknowledging all aspects of the past.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I serve families and individuals who are looking for answers and connection. I view therapy as a tool for personal growth and reflection that is utilized best by those who are serious about becoming the greatest version of themselves. Coming for help is a commendable first step and I applaud you for being here. If you are looking to grow, I hope I can be the right person to offer you the space and encouragement necessary for this to happen.
