As an empathetic listener, I am dedicated to following your cues in our sessions, ensuring that your journey is the priority. I uphold the core values of trust, respect, empathy, warmth, and genuineness, which have consistently led to profound insights, healing, change, and growth in my clients. My culturally sensitive approach allows me to navigate the diverse layers of difference among the populations I work with, fostering a sense of understanding and appreciation.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I use evidence-based approaches to help clients accomplish their existential goals with sensitivity to their ecological and multicultural contexts. Clients will leave the sessions feeling heard, supported, affirmed, and afforded a safe environment to explore the incongruence between their value/belief systems and behaviors.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My integrative style of therapy is a collaborative process. I tailor each session to your unique situations and needs, ensuring that you are actively involved in your therapeutic journey. I apply the fundamental principles of the Person-centered humanistic orientation, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with whatever techniques I use. Following your lead and informed consent, I also integrate spirituality, faith, and religion into our sessions.

My treatment methods

Christian Counseling

Following clients' lead and informed consent, I integrate spirituality, faith, and religion into therapy. Using this method, I affirm and incorporate the client's belief system and address all three spheres of his/her being: mind, body, and spirit.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use this method to help clients identify, challenge, and change their catastrophic thinking, cognitive distortions, and unhealthy thinking patterns, feelings, and behaviors as they contribute to their mental health conditions.

Compassion Focused

In my practice, Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) leads to improved self-esteem, increased emotional resilience, better emotion regulation, and a reduction in self-criticism and shame. Clients will leave the sessions feeling heard, supported, affirmed, and afforded a safe environment to explore the incongruence between their value/belief systems and behaviors.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

My culturally sensitive approach makes me aware and appreciative of the layers of difference among the multiculturally diverse populations I work with.

Psychoeducation

The saying goes that knowledge is power. Hence, I use psychoeducation as an empowerment tool to help clients better explore their issues and make informed decisions that impact positive therapeutic outcomes.
