Hi! I am a Social Worker who is able to help those struggling with many different situations. I have worked with clients of all ages but I specialize in working with the adult population. I will listen to you so that I can understand your concerns, and I will work with you to develop a plan to find the life balance that works for you. I specialize in Strength Based Therapy, Trauma Informed Care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness. I am diverse in the therapeutic approaches I use because life is not a one size fits all.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. I will find out what kind of things you value and how to best communicate with you. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

One of my greatest strengths as a provider is to always remember that I am helping a human being. I believe that laughter is therapeutic and I sometimes use laughter in sessions.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy while working with those who were struggling with emotional disturbance, substance use and severe mental illness. I have worked with clients and helped them recognize and address unhelpful ways of thinking and addressed maladaptive behavior.

Strength-Based

Strength based can be used in just about any form of intervention. I’ve worked with clients on their journey of discovery for the strengths that they were not aware of and the strengths that they didn’t quite know how to use as a mechanisms to help address crisis' they were facing.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I’ve used solution focused treatment often with clients on inpatient behavioral health units who were often in a state of crisis. I would ask if they could change anything about their current situation to help them move in a desired direction.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I have used mindfulness while providing therapeutic group intervention, gently redirecting focus to daily goals and tasks for that moment in time.

Motivational Interviewing

I used motivation interviewing with clients who struggled with addition. The client and I worked to find out where they were in their stage of wanting help for their addiction or, learning if the client believed that they had an addiction at all. Meeting the client where they are is very important.
