I am privileged to join you on your journey in therapy. Many of us struggle daily with issues like anxiety, stress, depression, anger or just feeling misunderstood. We may feel stuck and ashamed at our inability to just will ourselves into being "better.” My aim is to make a space for you to feel empowered to process and create the change you hope to see in your life. I have experience working with adolescents and adults with depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, trauma, substance use, and other personal challenges. I have a warm and caring approach with my clients, and I value personal preferences in the therapy experience.
Our first session will consist of getting to know each other to build on our therapeutic relationship. I want to know about what brings you to counseling, as well as some background information like your career, education, relationships, family and perhaps medical history. I’ll want to know if you've sought counseling before, and if so, what worked and what didn't. The initial session involves a diagnostic assessment. This assessment allows us to discuss your needs and history, while also diving into symptoms and current stressors, to help us identify goals and start working on a treatment plan that is suited to your individual needs.

My approach to this methods includes unstructured interviews, observation, and open-ended questionnaires. Humanistic therapy emphasizes the importance of being your true self in order to lead the most fulfilling life. It’s based on the principle that everyone has their own unique way of looking at the world. This view can impact your choices and actions.
