During our first session, we will complete an intake, which is an extended questionnaire that allows me to gather data regarding history, previous treatment, goals and any other pertinent information that could assist us with our therapy journey. We will also discuss strengths and challenges, and begin the initiation of the treatment plan that will be used for the duration of treatment.
My greatest strength is meeting people where they are. I pride myself in being an active listener and having empathy. Those things allow me to show validation and understanding to those that may not get it elsewhere. I think those attributes are strong foundation to providing care.
I work with those who may have found themselves aware of patterns of dysfunction disguised as "survival" and "living", and who want help correcting those dysfunctional patterns to create a higher morale for life! I assist individuals with healing their past, understanding and coping with their present, and being equipped and empowered to confidently walk into their futures. It can be scary to open up to a stranger, but always remember: therapy is personal to the individual. You are in control and we, as counselors, work for you, to help you. I'm confident that through dedication, time and a little vulnerability, I can help you become the best version of yourself!

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive behavioral therapy is a great way to address behaviors based on cognitive distortions or dysfunction, as well as identifying more healthy behaviors to replace them. The versatility of this modality allows adequate intervention for most disorders.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
Dialectical behavioral therapy is great for acute behaviors, as well as analyzing behavioral chains and processes. This is great for anger management, anxiety, addiction and many other challenges.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
Solution focus brief therapy is great for short-term interventions. Once the challenges identified, coming up with supportive and healthy holistic ways to respond to stress becomes the focal point. It is a great way to increase healthy behaviors in a short amount of time.

I like Dr. Haynes because, I can talk A LOT, and he didn’t seem to mind listening. He displayed genuine concern and focused on ensuring the correct diagnosis, to ensure that I had the correct medication. Some minor things stated by him during our session, reassured me that I made the best selection in choosing a therapist! I am looking forward to our continued rapport and mental support. Dr. Haynes truly cares!
