Hi, I am an LPC in Texas. I have worked for over 10 years with trauma, mood disorders, Major mental health issues, various ages and approaches, etc. I'm pretty straight forward but it is your journey. My main goal is to help in your journey with compassion, support and empowerment. I am easy to connect with and patients describe me as realistic, easy to get along with, compassionate and down to Earth.
Casual setting, spill your guts is fine. I like to get to know my clients. Diagnosis and the process needs to be as organic and natural feeling as possible.
trustworthy, comfortable, realistic, down to Earth, knowledgeable and straight forward.
Behaviors are the indicators for us, the red flags of any concerns and the measure of balance or imbalance. They are directly tied to thoughts/beliefs, etc. Many things, all parts of us, contribute to thoughts/beliefs. In therapy we use behaviors and/or thoughts/beliefs to tap into any emotional, spiritual or behavioral issues to address and ways to approach achieving balance and peace through empowerment.
I have years working with Christian Counseling to approach struggles. Christians or believers find reprieve and guidance in scripture and their personal relationship with God, Christ and the Holy Spirit. How much that is used is a reflection of each person's beliefs and comfort level. You direct the involvement. Ultimately the goal is finding resolution and peace through your beliefs and usually strengthening your relationship with God.
