I am an experienced clinician who finds deep meaning and reward in my work with individuals and families. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of supporting children, adults, and families across a variety of settings, helping them navigate challenges and build resilience. As an older clinician, I bring both professional expertise and life experience into my practice, allowing me to connect with clients in a thoughtful, compassionate, and grounded way. I consider it an honor to work with individuals from all backgrounds and walks of life. In addition to my clinical work, I have served as a Military Family Life Counselor, supporting service members and their families during my son’s time in the United States Marine Corps. This experience further strengthened my understanding of the unique challenges faced by military families and deepened my commitment to service. Outside of my professional life, I enjoy fishing, camping, and engaging in a variety of arts and crafts, which provide balance, creativity, and renewal.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During your first session, you can expect a welcoming and supportive space where you are invited to share your story at your own pace. My role is to listen carefully and understand what brings you in, without judgment or pressure. This is your time. You can talk about what feels most important to you, whether that’s current challenges, past experiences, or your goals for therapy. We will take a team approach, working together to understand your needs and begin identifying ways to support your growth and well-being. As your therapist, I am here to guide, support, and collaborate with you—but you remain at the center of the process.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I love the work I do because it’s a true privilege to walk alongside my clients and be part of their journey. Over the years, I’ve learned just as much from them as they have from me. My compassion, understanding, and willingness to truly listen help create a space where people feel safe, heard, and comfortable being themselves.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with people across the lifespan—from children and teens to adults and older adults. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to support individuals in a variety of settings, which has helped me develop a flexible, compassionate approach to care. I value meeting each person where they are and tailoring my work to fit their unique needs, experiences, and stage of life.

My treatment methods

Eclectic

In my clinical work, I use an eclectic therapeutic approach that allows me to tailor each session to the unique needs, strengths, and goals of the individual or family I am supporting. Rather than relying on a single theoretical model, I draw from a range of evidence-based modalities—such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, solution-focused techniques, and elements of attachment-based and strengths-based practices. In session, I assess what is most effective in the moment and adjust my approach accordingly. For example, I may use CBT strategies to help a client identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns, while also incorporating mindfulness or grounding techniques when emotional regulation is needed. With children and families, I often integrate play-based interventions, psychoeducation, and skill-building to support development and strengthen relationships. This flexible approach allows me to meet clients where they are, respond to changing needs, and build a collaborative, responsive therapeutic environment. My goal is to provide practical tools, emotional support, and insight while maintaining a client-centered focus that respects each person’s experiences and promotes meaningful, sustainable growth.
