Hi, I am Hollie Shigley, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I specialize in working with individuals of all ages who are struggling with anxiety, depression, post-partum depression and anxiety, and life transitions. My mission is to help each client find healing, uncover their true identity, learn their strengths, and discover how to live the best life possible. I obtained my Master of Social Work from Boise State University, my Bachelor of Social Work from Indiana Wesleyan University, and advanced training in perinatal mental health.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will have a relaxed conversation where I get to know you and why you are seeking counseling. I will gather background information and work to understand your hopes and expectations. Then, working together, we will create goals and a tailored plan for our future sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My clients would describe me as warm, genuine, encouraging, and authentic. Through active listening, I help clients with a solution-focused therapy approach focusing on their strengths and building up the tools in their tool belt.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to treat anxiety, depression, OCD, post-partum depression, and post-partum anxiety. CBT focuses on helping you reframe your thoughts and behavior to help you reach a healthier state.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

I use this to treat obsessive-compulsive disorder. Exposure Response Prevention is effective in breaking the obsessive thought cycle that comes with OCD.

Christian Counseling

If a client is seeking therapy from a Christian perspective, I incorporate a Christian worldview into the session and work with them to approach their healing from a biblical perspective and deepen their relationship with the Lord.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness helps clients be present in the moment, recognize their thoughts, and reframe/adjust their response.
