Hey there, I’m a licensed Clinical Social Worker based in California. I received my masters from University of New England with a focus in Individuals, families and groups. I’ve been practicing for 11 years. I specifically enjoy helping people find perspective through the voice of their pain. I think pain and discomfort can be our best teacher if we allow ourselves to look at it, this way.
In our first session we will start with brief introductions, then dive into why you are here. We will also discuss your beliefs about the challenges you are facing and what you hope to gain from therapy. We will then begin to talk about a tailored plan that we will use to help you reach your goals.
Having worked with individual, families and groups in the last 11 years, I’ve developed a full proof plan to assisting you in identifying the limiting beliefs that are causing you to fall short of reaching your goals. My experience has also taught me how to assist you in getting unstuck by way of breaking down the root of the patterns in a manner that leads to measurable progress.
I love using the CBT model amongst many other treatment methods such as adlerian theory, the psychodynamic, humanistic and the strength based approach. I specifically enjoy the CBT model because it asks questions that are direct, promoting more focused thinking. Most people don't want to be in therapy forever so CBT is the perfect model to assist with meeting goals and remaining on task. In using CBT over the last 11 years, I've seen individuals gain relief with depression, anxiety and panic disorder, bipolar, borderline personality disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, and post traumatic stress disorder. I have enjoyed assisting individuals with the CBT model by way of providing coping tools and techniques that can be used after the session to further support a client in meeting their goals in a manner that is personal to them.
