In our initial session, you and I will review your initial intake and discuss how any of your past experiences have contributed to your presenting problem and what brought you to therapy at this time. We will also discuss any past experiences in therapy to determine how I can be effective in working with you by identifying what has and has not been helpful for you in the past. You and I will then work together to develop a treatment plan together by identifying the goals that are most important to you and your journey toward healing. My hope is that you will see your symptoms improve and will see sustained improvement thereafter.
I provide a warm, encouraging, empathetic atmosphere and use a collaborative approach to work with you. I use a variety of various interventions, such as EMDR, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and multiple other therapies and techniques to meet each client’s individual needs.
