LICSW, 10 years of experience

About me

Hello! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts. I have been in the field for over 20 years, supporting people of all ages. I enjoy helping people to work on themselves to live a fulfilling life, and be prepared to deal with challenges as they arise. Working together with clients as they improve their quality of life is extremely rewarding.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

You deserve a compassionate therapist ... someone to make you feel safe, secure, and connected while guiding you through the healing process. My goal is to support and promote lifelong change that will allow you to form healthy relationships and foster an overall sense of wellbeing.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with clients that are eager to improve, but don't yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality. They often feel stuck, depressed, overwhelmed and anxious.

My treatment methods

Supportive

The supportive approach primarily focuses on providing emotional support, encouragement, and validation during difficult life circumstances or psychological challenges.

Strength-Based

The strength based approach focuses on your internal strengths and resourcefulness, rather than on your weaknesses, failures, and shortcomings.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT helps clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. CBT is a good way to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.

Compassion Focused

The Compassion approach aims to help those who struggle with shame and self-criticism, often resulting from early experiences of abuse or neglect. CFT teaches clients to cultivate the skills of self-compassion and other-oriented compassion, which are thought to help regulate mood and lead to feelings of safety, self-acceptance, and comfort.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

The solution focused approach concentrates on finding solutions in the present and exploring one’s hope for the future in order to find a quick and pragmatic resolution of one’s problems. This method takes the approach that you know what you need to do to improve your own life
