New to Grow
I’m Toni Kittrell, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, and before anything else, I show up as a real person. I believe therapy should feel like a safe space where you don’t have to wear a mask or feel judged, a space where you’re truly seen and heard. My approach is honest, warm, and straightforward. I don’t believe in letting labels define you. Instead, I focus on listening, reflecting, and walking with you through the ups and downs of life. Whether you’re dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, or major life changes, my goal is to help you sort through what feels heavy so you can move toward clarity, healing, and peace.
In our first session, we’ll keep it simple, I want to get to know you. We’ll talk about what brought you here, what feels important to you right now, and what you’d like to see change. I’ll ask some background questions to get a sense of your past and present experiences, but it won’t feel like an interrogation, it’s just a conversation. From there, we’ll start building a plan that fits you and your goals. There’s always space for you to ask questions about me, the therapy process, or anything you’re unsure about. If you feel comfortable moving forward, we’ll schedule future sessions and begin the work of making real progress together.
To me, authenticity is the greatest gift you can bring into the therapy space. As a provider, I believe in being honest, straightforward, real, and genuine. I don’t believe in glossing things over, I believe in compassion, truth, and authenticity. I meet my clients exactly where they are and never ask them to show up as someone they’re not. You don’t have to be perfect here; you just have to be yourself.
I love working with clients who are ready to discover who they truly are. If you’re tired of living in patterns of people-pleasing, self-doubt, self-sabotage, or low self-esteem, I can help you move toward a life of self-love, acceptance, and freedom. I walk with clients as they break out of the cages they’ve built and unchain the locks that keep them stuck. My passion is guiding those who are ready to step into alignment with their true calling, not the life that was handed to them, but the one they were meant to live.
I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients make space for difficult thoughts and feelings while staying focused on what truly matters to them. Together, we practice mindfulness, clarify values, and take practical steps toward healing and growth.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and actions. Together, we work on identifying unhelpful thought patterns and building healthier ways of coping so they can feel more in control and create lasting change.
I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help clients focus on their strengths and practical solutions rather than dwelling on problems. Together, we identify goals, explore what’s already working, and take small steps toward meaningful change.
