I have been working as a Marriage and Family Therapist since 2004. I received my Masters degree from Central Connecticut State University (CCSU). I have been in private practice since 2007. Many of the issues I assist clients with are related, but not limited to, the following: relationships, parenting, depression, anxiety, major life transitions, goal achievement, growth work, and grief.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you've been experiencing. Together we'll then set intentions for moving inner mind towards desired shifts.
Over the past twenty years, I've trained in various methods and have a wide variety of tools to assist people in shifting negative and distorted thoughts, emotions, impulses, habits, and behaviors. I listen deeply so that I can best understand what solutions will be most useful in moving each person towards what's intended.
The therapy I offer is client-centered, strengths-based, and borrows from models like Reality Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy. I also have training in Rapid Resolution Therapy and use aspects of it in my work.
