I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years experience and training with individuals, couples and families who want to take charge of their lives. Together we can explore new coping skills, strengthen existing skills to improve relationships, and sharpen communication skills to enjoy harmony in your life. My approach is strength based, non traditional and focuses on your individualized needs. I take an empathetic, common-sense approach to exploring life's problems and guiding you through the issues you are currently facing and the ones you continue to carry from your past.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first visit is a get to know each other, and to learn one quick skill to help you reduce at least one stressor in the first week. I also use the first session to explain how I practice, and what my expectations are for my clients, including assigning homework each week (don't worry there is no essay writing).

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have worked in a variety of settings including the military, children’s services, and private practice, learning a wide range of clinical experience. I focus on reducing your stress levels from the first session, utilizing your own strengths, as well as newly learned skills. I believe life is not a spectator sport! Don't let your life pass you by while you are struggling to gain control of problems.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Clients can usually recognize a problem, however without therapy they often lose their way on the path to a solution. My role is to guide my Clients on the right path to their better lives.

Strength-Based

Clients often need guidance to find their inner strengths, and once they identify what works, they will take large steps to wellness.
