I’m Kisha Walwyn-Duquesnay, a psychotherapist dedicated to supporting Black women in overcoming workplace Imposter Syndrome, anxiety, and depression. By helping my clients replace self-doubt with self-trust, I guide them toward redefining success and achieving the fulfilling lives they deserve. I'm a first generation Caribbean-American woman . I choose to serve this community, because it’s my community. Black women deserve to address their mental health issues, without having to explain their culture first, with a mental health clinician who looks like them.
In your first session with me, you can expect a safe, nonjudgmental space where we’ll explore the challenges you’re facing and how they’ve been impacting your life. Together, we’ll begin identifying patterns of self-doubt and stress, setting the foundation for building confidence and reclaiming the fulfilling life you deserve.
My greatest strengths as a provider are creating a culturally safe, supportive environment and empowering clients to redefine their narratives of success and happiness. By combining clinically proven strategies with deep empathy, I help Black women feel seen, heard, and confident in achieving the lives they deserve.
I have over a decade of experience as a psychotherapist helping women navigate workplace Imposter Syndrome through clinically proven Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) strategies. By addressing negative thought patterns and building self-confidence, I empower clients to defy societal pressures, decrease anxiety and depression, and redefine success on their terms. I'm also certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART Therapy), which s a quick, evidence-based approach that uses eye movements and guided imagery to help you let go of painful memories and feelings, without needing to talk about all the details.
