In our initial session, we will focus on understanding your personal concerns, desires, and objectives. By discussing your issues in detail, we aim to clarify and identify the core challenges you face, which will enable us to work more effectively together towards achieving your goals.
As a provider, I excel in recognizing subtle details that aid in clarifying your concerns and help define your treatment objectives and goals effectively.
Cognitive behavioral therapy will help you become aware of inaccurate or negative thinking so challenging situations can be viewed more clearly and you are able to respond to them in a more effective way. It can quickly help you identify and cope with specific challenges.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a therapeutic approach that targets the underlying causes of emotional distress, and can help you process traumatic experiences, reframe negative beliefs, and reduce symptoms in a shorter time frame compared to traditional therapies. It can be used to address the following: trauma (PTSD), anxiety disorders, phobias, depression, addiction, grief, performance anxiety, and more.
Solution-focused brief therapy aims to develop realistic solutions as quickly as possible. It focuses on helping those whom are experiencing difficulty find tools they can use immediately to manage symptoms and cope with challenges. Solution focused brief treatment is grounded in the belief that although individuals may already have the skills to create change in their lives, they often need help identifying and developing those skills. It is recognized that people already know, on some level, what change are needed in their lives, and solution focus works to help the people clarify their goals. You are encouraged to imagine the future you desire and then we will work collaboratively to develop a series of steps that will help the you achieve those goals. In treatment we will identify a time in life when a current issue was either less detrimental or more manageable and evaluate what factors were different or what solutions may have been present in the past.
