(she/her)
There are times in our lives when things work together, and all is well with the world. There are also times when “life” throws a monkey wrench in your path and you’re not quite certain just how you will get through the next moment. Allow me to provide support and help empower you to face your fears and to challenge and champion you in your journey towards realizing your true self. I have over 20 years of experience and training working with depressive disorders, anxiety, behavior disorders, ADHD, ODD, PTSD, anger management, coping skills, emotional disturbance, parenting skills, peer relationships, school issues, self-esteem, stress and trauma. I have experience with a wide range of clients in various settings to include basic and therapeutic foster care, assertive community treatment, public education systems, child protective services, department of juvenile justice, private and non-profit organizations. I provide individual counseling only at this time.
Our first session would involve a mix of orientation, connection-building, exploring and simply meeting you where you are. We'll discuss symptoms, stressors, reason you are seeking support at this time, past history and dynamics and begin to identify what goals you may have in mind to help support you. You can expect a warm, non-judgmental atmosphere and my goal is to make you feel comfortable and ok with sharing your life with me. You might event get a song and joke out of me! With the understanding that this may be your first rodeo at therapy (or perhaps multiple trips), I will do my best to provide exceptional, authentic and transformative expertise.
Some of the therapeutic modalities I utilize include strength based, solution focused, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral and trauma focused interventions. With the understanding that one therapeutic technique does not fit all clients, I will use an integrative approach to provide you clients tools and realistic action plans to tackle the barriers “life” throws our way. If you're in need of a compassionate, safe place where you can vent, gain insight about yourself and behavior, and learn the appropriate skills necessary for effective and healthy coping strategies, I would love the opportunity to work with you.
I like to work with young professionals navigating through life's transitions, single mothers, post partem, high functioning women and men, those who have depression, anxiety, BIPOC community. I also like to work with men and women who are older, those suffering with grief, those who have anger issues, emotional dysregulation, trauma (past and current). I work with those who need coping skills and management of moods.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Your thoughts, behavior and feelings are interconnected. Through cognitive behavior therapy, let's work together to identify and change those unhealthy thoughts and behaviors., develop healthier coping skills and practice those behaviors to improve emotional outcomes.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I utilize this treatment method by combining mindfulness and behavioral strategies to help you embrace your thoughts and feelings instead of fighting against them.
Supportive
Through supportive therapy, I work to offer emotional validation, guidance, and reinforcement of strengths.
Eclectic
As no one fits into one box, eclectic therapy is a client-centered approach that blends various techniques from multiple therapeutic models to meet you at your individual needs.
Strength-Based
Allow me to work with you to identify and amplify your strengths, reframe challenging thoughts you may have of yourself and help rebuild resiliency and empowerment through strength-based interventions.
