Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) based in California. I received my Masters from the California State University of Los Angeles and have been practicing for 8 years. I have experience treating a wide range of issues, including depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, relational problems, and career and/or academic stress and burnout. Together we can discover and find meaning in your unique life experiences.
In our first session, we will begin with brief introductions, then we will begin exploring areas of your life that are most stressful and create a treatment plan to help you effectively address your challenges and achieve your goals.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, person-centered and guided by gentle nudges. My role is not to impose anything on you or introduce unexpected exercises without your consent. Remember you are the master of you and I will be there to help you explore your strengths and resilience. With your willingness and eagerness to solve problems and find solutions you can create a better, healthier, and more fulfilled life.
I work with adults, adolescents, couples, and families. My therapy style is integrative, combining a variety of insight-oriented and solution-focused approaches. I am dedicated to helping my clients find peace, joy and happiness in their lives. I pride myself on developing therapeutic relationships and fostering compassion and empathy with my clients. Together we will identify your personal goals, increase awareness of maladaptive patterns in your life and relationships, and ensure that you are challenged in a supportive and non-judgmental way to make positive and lasting changes.
Together we will build tools and strategies that help re-frame thinking and behaviors. Ultimately these tools assist you in responding differently to your current situation and think in alternative ways. Example: Finding new ways to think about situations, Identifying what's important to you, Practicing social skills and communication, breaking big tasks into smaller, more manageable steps, etc.
Build rapport and trust with genuine interest in the client's perspective, explore the negative consequences and the potential benefits of change, highlight past successes and reinforce their strengths, reflect and acknowledge their concerns/doubts without judgment, etc.
self-reflection, dialogue, and questioning, Reflective listening without judgments, ask questions about the meaning of life, Mindfulness, Looking at different choices and exploring where they might lead, and Embracing change, etc.
