Hello there! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in August 2008 and a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling in 2015, both from Sam Houston State University. For the last 7 years, I have served victims of crime in their country of origin, refugees, and immigrants in a humanitarian crisis. I offer mental health services to patients with stress disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma and abuse-related disorders, self-esteem and confidence disorders, & personality disorders.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, and then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. You will be asked to complete an intake before our session to gather your mental health history and current motive for seeking therapy. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. At times, there will be readings or homework recommendations to assist the patient between sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength as a counselor lies in my ability to build strong, trusting relationships with clients and to demonstrate a sincere commitment to their well-being. I excel at creating a safe and supportive environment where clients feel valued and understood. This rapport allows clients to open up and engage more deeply in the therapeutic process. My genuine care for their mental and emotional health fosters a collaborative and empathetic approach, which is crucial for effective therapy. By showing authentic concern and respect, I help clients feel heard and supported, which in turn enhances their motivation and progress in therapy.
