I’ve been a therapist for 10 years now (time goes so fast!) I enjoy working with clients to improve their quality of life and meeting them where they are at. Life can be hard! Sometimes we need to talk things out to process them. We will have an overall goal of improving the future. I treat children and adults with a variety of diagnosis. I often have resources and handouts to share.
The first session is referred to as the intake. I will be gathering information and forming our treatment plan that acts as our roadmap for where we want to go in treatment. We will get to know each other and I’ll ask questions related to what brings you to therapy. We will not go into deep trauma or process in the first session. This is more introductory and making sure this is a good fit.
Having worked in community mental health in the past I’ve seen a wide variety of populations and diagnosis. I also have my MBA which helps with those in career/business situations.
Working through the link between how we think and act. Working to separate problems and tackle them individually.
Working on accepting our reality and making the changes we want.
Giving each person a voice and a chance to discuss issues. Using a variety of methods to assist with problem solving.
