LPC, 10 years of experience
New to Grow
Hi, I’m Adriana, a licensed professional counselor with over 10 years of experience supporting individuals through life’s challenges. I work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, identity exploration, and major life transitions. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you feel truly heard and supported as we work together to build resilience, confidence, and meaningful change in your life.
In your first session with me, we’ll spend time getting to know each other and creating a space where you feel safe and heard. We’ll start by talking about what brought you to therapy, what’s been challenging, and what goals or changes you’d like to work toward. I’ll also ask some questions about your background and experiences to better understand your unique story. This session isn’t about “having all the answers”—it’s about understanding you and your needs so we can build a plan together. You can expect a calm, supportive, and open conversation where your feelings and experiences are respected. By the end of the session, you’ll have a clearer sense of how therapy can support you and what the next steps might look like. My goal is for you to leave feeling understood, supported, and more at ease about starting this process.
What stands out about my therapeutic approach is my strengths-based and collaborative focus. I work with clients to identify and build on their existing strengths, helping them navigate challenges rather than just managing symptoms. I integrate practical tools with a compassionate, personalized approach, tailoring strategies to each client’s unique needs and goals. My methods are flexible and client-centered, often combining evidence-based techniques with real-life application, so progress feels meaningful and sustainable. I prioritize creating a safe and supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make positive change. The results clients often notice are increased self-awareness, confidence, and the ability to manage life’s challenges more effectively. Many find that over time, they not only feel better but also gain clarity about what they want in their personal and professional lives and feel equipped to go after it.
I’m here for people who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or weighed down by the pressures of life—whether it’s stress, anxiety, self-doubt, or navigating big changes. Many of my clients share that they feel disconnected from themselves or unsure of how to move forward, even though they deeply want things to feel different. If this sounds like you, you don’t have to carry it alone. My role is to walk alongside you, helping you make sense of those heavy feelings while giving you tools to cope and heal. Together, we’ll explore what’s been holding you back, build on your strengths, and create space for growth and positive change. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a partnership—where you bring your willingness and courage, and I bring compassion, guidance, and strategies to help you move toward the life you want.
Using TF-CBT, I support clients in safely processing traumatic experiences and reframing unhelpful thought patterns. This structured approach combines trauma-sensitive interventions with practical coping strategies, empowering clients to reduce distress and move toward recovery.
I approach therapy with a commitment to cultural sensitivity, recognizing the importance of clients’ unique identities, traditions, and experiences. I work collaboratively to understand the impact of culture, systemic oppression, and social context on mental health, while integrating these perspectives into the healing process.
I use attachment-based approaches to help clients explore how early relationship patterns shape the way they connect, trust, and manage emotions today. Together, we work on building a sense of safety and security, while fostering healthier and more fulfilling relationships with self and others.
Drawing from DBT, I help clients build skills in emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness. These tools are especially useful for managing intense emotions, navigating conflict, and developing greater balance in daily life.
My practice is grounded in gender-affirming care, offering a safe and supportive space for clients exploring or affirming their gender identity. I aim to honor each person’s lived experience, affirm their identity, and provide care that is respectful, validating, and empowering.
