I have a M.A. in Professional Counseling and a B.S. in Psychology. I've received training in EMDR and mindfulness. I am a trauma informed therapist who specializes in working with trauma & PTSD, anxiety, identity exploration, and life transitions. My approach is relational, strengths based, and incorporates mindfulness and EMDR. I believe in empowering clients to make their own choices and decide how they want their lives to look.
Exploration of background, goals, patterns, and expectations while offering a supportive, non-judgmental environment where anyone is welcome to freely express their thoughts and feelings.
Having worked in the mental health field for over a decade and in a variety of settings, I've seen how mental health impacts people with various backgrounds and identities. This has resulted in the ability to build hope, trust, identify strengths, and empower clients to achieve their goals. Although therapy can be challenging and draining, I am here to work alongside you as an equal partner and team member; whether this is your first-time in therapy or you’re in a place in which a little help and support is needed. Together, we will work towards discovering the strengths to face life’s challenges.
I've completed training in mindfulness and enjoy exploring how client's navigate being present. Additionally, it's important to non-judgmentally bring awareness to thoughts, emotions, and the body.
I've completed EMDR basic training and utilize this to work through mild to severe memories which impact daily life.
How we speak and relate to ourselves can influence or worldview. I incorporate CBT with the goal of better understanding thoughts, behaviors, self-talk, and to help identify patterns.
