I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor based in New York. I obtained my Dual Master degrees in Mental Health Counseling at Teachers College, Columbia University. I have experience providing services to culturally diverse populations in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. I specialize in treating Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Family Conflict, and Stress Management, and more. Outside of therapeutic work, I enjoy reading, spending time with loved ones, and photography. I use Person-centered therapy to meet clients where they are in their journey and provide active listening in an empathic, open, and non-judgmental space.
I use CBT to help clients identify unhelpful thinking patterns and explore the impact on their emotions and behaviors. Then challenging these thinking patterns to reframe them and build more effective ones.
I use Mindfulness-Based Therapy to help bring and maintain an awareness of the parts of clients' thoughts and behaviors that may be adding to their presenting issues.
I use Psychodynamic therapy to explore past experiences, relationships, and upbringing in order to understand all parts of a client's present self.
