Play therapy is an approach that uses play to help children express themselves, process emotions, and develop problem solving skills. Since children find it difficult to articulate their thoughts, children most commonly communicate through play. This provides a creative outlet for your child to communicate their inner world. Play therapy can use a variety of toys, art materials, and games. Specific techniques I may use include role playing, perspective taking, story telling, biblio therapy, and painting.
Therapy provides women with the space to prioritize their mental health, gain emotional tools, and create a more balanced and fulfilling life. Women often face unique challenges such as societal pressures, gender roles, workplace discrimination, and high expectations, which can contribute to stress and overwhelm. Life transitions like motherhood, or experiences with trauma, can also deeply impact self-identity. I work to women to feel empowered over their life, and manage stress during this transitional times.
