Hello, my name is Jessica. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor practicing in PA. I have been in the mental health field over twenty years and have been licensed for over ten years. I greatly enjoy seeing people make positive changes in their life and enjoy life. I would like to assist you in making positive changes. I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment that allows clients to explore obstacles with concerns related to anxiety, depression, and/or self-care. I focus on helping clients develop assertive communication & boundaries with themselves and those around them that can help improve their quality of life. Counseling can foster personal development in whatever way you may be seeking and help build the life you so deeply deserve. If that's what you're looking for, I'm here when you're ready to share. Congratulations you have made it this far. Let's take the next steps together.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session I like to get to know a little about the person and what brought them to therapy. I like to ask basic background questions. Depending on why you came to therapy will also determine the questioning. I like discuss want you want from therapy and ways to obtain those goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am able to assist people with becoming a better, happier person.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I’ve been using CBT in my practice for many years. It’s helped dozens of clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life. I prefer CBT the most because our thoughts really due impact our behaviors. We can have negative thought patterns creating negative behaviors that we are not aware of. I have found CBT to be very helpful with clients in changing their negative thought patterns.

Reality Therapy

I have found reality therapy to be very beneficial for clients. A lot of times people know the solutions, but they struggle with implementing them. Reality therapy can be very helpful in these cases. It is a very good method for people looking to solve a specific issue.
