About me

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor dedicated to helping individuals move from overwhelm and self-doubt into clarity, confidence, and emotional stability. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship stress, attachment wounds, low self-esteem, and major life transitions. Many of the people I support are high-functioning individuals who appear “put together” on the outside but feel exhausted, anxious, or lost internally. They are often navigating complex emotions, difficult patterns, or uncertainty about their direction in life. My therapeutic style blends warmth, structure, and deep insight. My goal is to help you understand yourself on a deeper level—your patterns, beliefs, triggers, and needs—so that you can begin creating real and lasting change. I offer a calm, nonjudgmental space where you can process your emotions openly while learning practical skills to manage stress, regulate your nervous system, and build healthier boundaries and relationships. I believe therapy should be both supportive and empowering. Together, we’ll explore the “why” behind your patterns while also building the “how” of moving forward. I help clients reconnect with their strengths, reframe limiting beliefs, and develop tools that promote emotional balance and self-trust. Whether you’re navigating heartbreak, burnout, uncertainty, or simply wanting to understand yourself better, I’m here to guide you with compassion and clarity. My goal is to help you feel grounded, capable, and in control of your life again.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session with me is designed to feel safe, calm, and supportive. Starting therapy can feel intimidating—especially if you’re not sure what to expect—so my goal is to make this initial meeting feel comfortable and grounding. You don’t have to prepare anything or know exactly what to say. This is your space, and we move entirely at your pace. During our first session, I’ll begin by getting to know you—who you are, what brings you to therapy, and what feels most important for you right now. Many clients come in feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or unsure of where to start, and that’s completely okay. I will guide the session with gentle questions to better understand the areas of your life that are causing stress or emotional pain, such as relationships, self-esteem, family dynamics, work stress, or past experiences that still impact you. We’ll explore your goals, your struggles, and what you hope to gain from therapy. Some clients know exactly what they want; others simply know they don’t want to feel the way they currently feel. Both are equally welcome. We’ll talk about your history—not just the difficult moments, but also your strengths, the ways you’ve coped, and the insights you already have. I will help you identify patterns, triggers, and emotional cycles that may be repeating in your relationships or inner world. I use a blend of active listening, supportive validation, and thoughtful guidance to help you feel understood and seen. By the end of the session, we will work together to outline a plan moving forward. This includes identifying your therapeutic goals, discussing the strategies and tools we may use, and helping you walk away with clarity about the direction we’re taking. Many clients leave the first session feeling relieved, validated, and more hopeful about the path ahead. My intention is for you to leave feeling that you have a compassionate ally who understands your challenges and is committed to helping you grow, heal, and regain control of your emotional well-being.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to combine deep emotional insight with practical, actionable tools. I help clients understand the “roots” of their patterns—why certain triggers hit so hard, why cycles repeat, and why certain behaviors feel so difficult to change—while also teaching them step-by-step strategies that create real progress in daily life. My therapeutic approach is warm, empowering, and structured. Clients often tell me they appreciate that I am both validating and honest—that I create a safe space for vulnerability but also offer clear guidance and direction when needed. I believe therapy should help you feel understood, but it should also help you grow. Because of that, I balance compassionate listening with gentle challenges that help clients shift their perspectives and develop healthier emotional responses. I specialize in working with clients who experience anxiety, depression, emotional overwhelm, relationship wounds, and difficulty setting boundaries. These are often individuals who feel deeply, think deeply, and carry a lot of responsibility—both emotionally and physically. I’m skilled at helping clients untangle the internal pressure they place on themselves, understand how their past influences their present, and build the self-confidence needed to make empowered decisions. Another strength is my ability to help clients recognize and build on their own resilience. Many people come to therapy feeling defeated or ashamed, believing they’re “failing” or “not doing enough.” I help clients reframe these thoughts, reconnect with their strengths, and develop a more compassionate inner voice. This shift alone often transforms how they respond to stress and how they view themselves. I also bring strong skills in emotional regulation, cognitive restructuring, boundary-setting, and insight-oriented work. My clients leave sessions with tools they can use immediately—whether it’s a coping skill, a new perspective, or a structured plan to regain control in chaotic areas of life. My goal is to help every client feel grounded, empowered, and capable of creating the life they want.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are individuals who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, relationship stress, or major life transitions and who are ready to understand themselves on a deeper level. These are people who often appear high-functioning on the outside but internally feel exhausted, anxious, or unsure of their direction. They may struggle with people-pleasing, emotional reactivity, self-doubt, or difficulty setting boundaries, even though they are insightful and self-aware. Many of my ideal clients are navigating relational patterns—whether that’s attachment wounds, toxic relationship cycles, fear of abandonment, or difficulty trusting themselves in dating or long-term partnerships. They want healthier connections but feel stuck repeating the same emotional patterns. Others come to me because they feel overwhelmed by life transitions—new careers, breakups, burnout, changes in identity, or shifts in self-worth. They want guidance, clarity, and a space where they don’t have to hold everything together on their own. My ideal clients are motivated to grow, open to exploring their inner world, and willing to reflect on their emotions and experiences. They may not have all the answers—and they don’t need to—but they have a desire to improve their emotional well-being and create lasting change. What connects my ideal clients is a shared desire to feel grounded, capable, confident, and in control of their lives. They want stability, healthier relationships, emotional balance, and the tools to break patterns that no longer serve them. They come to therapy not just to “vent,” but to learn, grow, and build a meaningful path forward.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have extensive experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help adults and adolescents understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another. In sessions, I work collaboratively with clients to identify unhelpful thinking patterns, increase self-awareness, and develop practical coping strategies that bring relief in day-to-day life. CBT sessions with me are active and goal-oriented. Together we explore the situations that trigger distress, examine the beliefs and automatic thoughts that arise, and practice healthier ways of responding. I often incorporate tools such as thought records, behavior activation, and exposure to help reduce anxiety and depression, improve emotional regulation, and increase confidence. Because every person’s experience is unique, I tailor CBT techniques to fit each client’s needs and pace. My goal is to empower clients with practical skills they can apply outside of therapy—so progress continues between sessions and long after therapy ends.
